INTERESTED IN COACHING IN THE 2012 EXTRA PROGRAM?
If you are a seeking to coach in a more competitive soccer league within AYSO's existing system, then the EXTRA program might be for you!!!
We are seeking experienced coaches with the drive to coach. Experience and knowledge in soccer is a plus, and in some cases, credit will be given for various licenses you may hold. However, licenses and certain education courses will be mandatory, including referee certification, if accepted.
Mandatory Extra" coaching seminars will be provided at no cost to you and required as part of your commitment. These classes will be taught by experienced and trained coaches
We are seeking coaches who think outside the box, who are creative, and who are current on soccer training guidelines and training sessions. Applicants should have a strong fundamental knowledge of the game of soccer. . Your playing abilities and experience as a player will be considered, but are less important than your ability to teach, show, motivate and encourage young players in this league.
We have a very competitive division and plan to continue to elevate the coaching, level of play, and all items related to our program.
You must be able to take direction from the Coaching Director, follow the guidelines and expectations that are set for all of our Extra program coaches, share concepts and coaching information (to build an all around better program), be a self starter in constantly learning and seeking new techniques or ways of coaching and teaching, and be a true "Team" player in making our Extra program successful.
In return, you will get the privilege of working with Region 889's accelerated players, represent the City of Aliso Viejo in competition against teams throughout Orange County, be part of a group of coaches who work together for the continued development of our kids, and Region 889.
